Top Net erected their first netting structures in 1996 in the Orange Free State
when some of the first Pink Lady apples were planted in the province.
We still retain many of our staff from those early days who bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge.

TopNet is based in Pietermaritzburg but we install net structures country wide.
We have gained knowledge from the Free State apple farmers, who have over 30 years experience in a high hail
incidence area, as well as learnt from the Europeans as how best to construct a net structure.

No structure is ever totally bullet proof , so when disaster strikes there is a race against time to get nets repaired before the
next storm. Having a provider close by to service the nets at all times is vital for successful fruit production.

A net house is a structure enclosed by agro nets that allow sunlight, moisture and air to pass through the gaps. It creates an appropriate micro climate conducive to the plant growth.

The nets not only act as climate controllers but also act as protection against birds, pests and disease.
